Barbara Micari, aka MIMORA, was born in Brescia on 02/27/1978 where she still lives.
He obtained a degree from the ''G.B.Cignaroli'' Academy of Fine Arts in Verona, with a thesis in artistic anatomy on physical malformations.
In love with art in all its forms, she cultivates various passions including photography. Always passionate about the world of the old circus and the special part of humanity that distinguishes it, towards which the artist has a profound authentic interest and transport. The works almost always represent Freaks: it is the world of the outcasts, the misunderstood, included in our normal world because they are different in their physicality.
Mimora's hermetic approach to this theme is not made evident even in his works, due to the precise intention of not exploiting and making the characters of his interest difficult to interpret by the most distracted public. For the artist, the subjects of the works are repositories of quality and profound beauty not easily visible and understandable in modern society, which makes aesthetic beauty, apparent beauty perhaps the only thing that matters when one must judge an individual in a world of presumed mass normality. Normality, which to be defined as such, requires its opposite.
BIOGRAPHY
The paintings are presented with fluid brushstrokes, structured colors that convey that ancient alchemy of good and evil. The works have a consequential evolution between the abstract and the concrete and place this artist's research on a path linked only to perceptions, beyond time.
